New York City’s most anticipated fashion event of the year, the Met Gala, is just days away, and I’m thrilled to share my fashion predictions once again for Mr. Jimmy Fallon.
The Met Gala 2026 theme, Costume Art, delves into the “dressed body” as a powerful form of artistic expression. Curated by Andrew Bolton for the Condé Nast Galleries, the accompanying exhibition showcases a diverse range of works, from historical to contemporary, celebrating the body in all its stages— from the nude to pregnant and aging forms.
This year’s dress code, “Fashion is Art,” encourages guests to see fashion as a vibrant, personal expression— celebrating the diverse ways the dressed body has been represented throughout history.
Last year, while the Met Gala embraced exaggerated suiting and bold styling, Fallon stayed true to his strengths: clean tailoring, classic colors, and quiet confidence. The “Classic” prediction in Fallon Beauty’s Met Gala 2025 forecast aligned perfectly with his look, proving that the best style statement isn’t always the loudest, but the one that truly reflects the wearer.

This year guided by the theme Fashion is Art, the door opens to a more expressive approach. You won’t see Jimmy Fallon arriving in an animal costume like Jared Leto, but there’s still plenty of room to have some fun with it.
The Classic
The classic tuxedo is a red carpet essential. Fallon opts for clean tailoring and understated details, proving that safe can still be striking. This look embraces traditional suiting, elevated by a bold watch and a striking contrast of textures.
Tailoring
At last year’s Met Gala, Fallon turned heads in a custom Zegna tuxedo, featuring a double-breasted jacket with a reverse satin lapel. This year, Fallon Beauty predicts a shift toward a single-breasted silhouette. A shawl collar satin lapel adds a tonal contrast and a subtle sheen, bringing a touch of timeless elegance. The look is finished with a crisp white pintuck shirt, tying the ensemble together with clean precision.
Shoes
Black patent leather oxfords by Christian Louboutin complement this look flawlessly. The glossy patent leather echoes the shine of the lapel, while the signature red sole adds a striking flash of color with every step across the Met Gala carpet.

Fallon is all about making a statement with his watch. Last year, he wore the Chanel J12 Bleu, perfectly complementing the navy tones of his Zegna tuxedo. This year, I’ve selected the Chanel Black J12 Diamond Bezel watch, featuring a steel fixed bezel adorned with 50 brilliant-cut diamonds and 12 additional diamond indicators on the dial.
A luxurious silk bow tie, it completes the ensemble with elegance and style.

Givenchy Tux derbies in brushed leather provide a stylish yet relaxed alternative to the traditional Oxford shoes.

A black cotton-velvet bow tie introduces subtle texture to the outfit, enhancing it without overshadowing the suit’s boldness.
The watch of choice, the OMEGA Speedmaster 38 Milano Cortina 2026, features a striking blue ceramic bezel and a varnished white dial adorned with a frosted blue transfer and a finger-trace pattern inspired by the Milano Cortina Winter Olympics emblem, completing the look and bringing a refined, contemporary edge.
